Beware!

FSCA warns of rogue domain

It came to the attention of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (“FSCA”) that there was a rogue domain called http://www.fscaza.com. On 23 April 2020 (“communication”) the FSCA issued a communication warning the public.

Apparently fraudsters used this domain to send a phishing email to one of the FSCA service providers with the aim of soliciting financial gains.

The FSCA confirmed that http://www.fscaza.com is not a legitimate FSCA domain. The FSCA encouraged everyone to remain vigilant and verify the authenticity of any communique they receive from domains purporting to be the FSCA relating to financial transactions.

The FSCA included their contact details on the communication to verify the authenticity of any correspondence received from their offices.

Be safe.
